Best Smartwatches For Spotify in 2022

Listening to Spotify on our smartwatch has been a game changer for us!

You can stream or transfer your favorite music to your watch for wireless playback even when offline.

It’s an important step towards truly independent smartwatches.

In today’s guide, we recommend the best smartwatch for Spotify currently available. We also suggest some great alternatives.

How Spotify Works on a Smartwatch

Smartwatches with Techgeeks are not the same as smartphones and computers.

Your watch can play music you love, but you need to sync it with your computer or phone. It is not a stand-alone device.

We explain how to set it up and also what limitations you need to prepare yourself for in this section.

Step 1: Download the App

In order to access Spotify on your smartwatch, you must first download the Spotify app.

This is a very simple process with Samsung wearables. From the home screen, select “Apps”. Click “Galaxy Apps”. Install Spotify.

Garmin smartwatches also make the process simple. On your cell phone, you’ll need to download the Connect IQ app to find the Spotify app.

Step 2: Sign Up

Sign up is simple, just connect your Facebook account or use your email address.

Note: Not all smartwatches are capable of using Spotify, so be sure to check out our list of recommended models.

Spotify asks for your password and date of birth so that they can make music recommendations based on your age.

Accessing music is made easy with this incredibly simple process. You can customize your account when you are logged in so that you can enjoy the music you want.

Step 3: Connect your Accounts

Since you can sign in to Spotify on your smartwatch, this step isn’t necessary with Samsung watches. However, Garmin users are now required to do so. They will then be prompted to connect their accounts.

Step 4: Download (or stream on selected Samsung devices) Music

You can now access the following folders in your Spotify account:

  • Playlists
  • Recently Played
  • Made for You
  • Workout
  • Podcasts

Garmin Forerunner 245 Music

Garmin is extremely well known and is often considered the smartwatch of choice for people who love to exercise and get outside.

In addition to offering a great music experience, this smartwatch also has GPS to track your every move.

There are also lot of health and fitness tracking features so you can easily track your goals and achieve them. The watch accurately track your every activity.

Music Library Size

The Forerunner 245 has 3.5 GB of internal memory, which Garmin states should hold 500 songs. My watch currently has 750 songs and 2-hour podcast episodes, so this isn’t actually accurate (but in a good way). Usually, I add new podcast episodes and playlists every month or so to the library.

How it Works

As you need to download the music to your watch, this smartwatch requires a premium Spotify account. It can’t stream music. After choosing the music you want, you must synchronize your watch with your smartphone app. You should get this done well before your next run if you plan on downloading a lot of music. Synchronization may take a while if you plan on downloading a lot of music.

The watch does not have audio output, which is another important point to note. The device can store and play music, but it does not have built-in speakers. In other words, it must be paired with Bluetooth speakers or headphones.

For a completely wireless listening experience while running, I pair mine with Bose wireless headphones. The connection process takes a few button presses and the connection is always solid. Also Check: genoanime
